Terms of Service

By using Beam you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Beam lets two people share moments with each other through an iPhone home screen widget. Beam is operated by Ruslan Dauletkaliuly ("we", "us").
Your account
You need an Apple ID to sign in, and you must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant us only the limited licence we need to operate the service — to store your content, and to deliver it to the person you are paired with. We claim no other rights to it.
You are responsible for the content you post, and you must have the right to post it.
What you may not do
- Post content that is illegal, or that sexualises minors.
- Post content that harasses, threatens, or impersonates someone.
- Post someone else's private images without their consent.
- Attempt to access another person's pairing, account, or data.
- Attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its infrastructure.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report content from within the app.
Price
Beam is free. There is no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app. If we ever introduce a paid plan we will update these terms and tell you in the app first.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms. Either way, the deletion rules in our Privacy Policy apply.
No warranty
Beam is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not a backup service — keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Beam after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kazakhstan.
